Houston Methodist

Deep in the heart of Houston

One line, one image, no brief. Made because it felt too good not to, and never run.

Deep in the Heart of Houston concept for Houston Methodist DeBakey Heart Center

Some ideas do not get sold. That does not mean they are not worth seeing.

Years back we were deep in the usual with Houston Methodist: digital assets, campaign support, the everyday hustle. Then, in conversation, this line showed up: at the heart of Houston is the DeBakey Heart Center. It landed hard. Simple, true, visually loaded.

We could not shake it, so we did not. A rough sketch, then a finished piece. No ask, no brief, no green light. We made it because it felt too good not to, and sent it to the client. They liked it. It never ran: no budget, no rollout, no plan to push it forward.

It stuck with us anyway. It would have made a killer billboard. It still would.
